Crystal Beauty Mist by Capecodglam

First off, thank you so much for supporting me and my small business! My name is Ciara, and I am a one woman show/owner of Capecodglam which is based on Cape Cod - specializing in makeup and esthetics.

I wanted to give you some more info on the Crystal Beauty Mist and on each ingredient / how it was made.

As you have read on your info card and the label, this product is made up of four things: (distilled water that was cleansed and charged with Aquamarine, Argan oil, Frankincense and Sandalwood oil).

✨ HOW TO USE: Treat this Crystal charged mist as a toner. Use after any type of cleansing / exfoliating. Use it after extracting. Use it to spray your masks to prevent mascne. A little goes a long way, so no more than two sprays per use is needed. Make sure to follow up with moisturizer for extra hydration. Use it to spray your yoga mats before and after practice. Use it as a room spray because it smells that good and the energy is grounding. ✨

What is Aquamarine?

Aquamarine is a name used for a mineral called Beryl.

Aquamarine gemstones can range from a very light hue to much deeper, vibrant shades of blue. The term aquamarine is derived from a combination of two Latin words. The first one, aqua, means water and the second, marina means sea. Together, the word translates to the colour of the sea. Living on Cape Cod, I find a deep connection to the ocean which inspired the choice to use this stone. You will find a polished gemstone in the packaging in a small plastic box. There is much more than meets the eye to this beautiful little guy...

Since Aquamarine is tied to the ocean, it's spiritual meaning is related to "cleansing". In ancient times, aquamarine was believed to be the treasure of mermaids. Sailors used the stone as a talisman to bring good luck on the open waters. The gem was used as a symbol of protection and fearlessness too.

The gem is seen as a stone of courage and helps people overcome any anxieties associated with communication, such as a fear of public speaking. Crystal healers believe teachers should wear aquamarine to help them remain calm and not feel stressed while completing tasks they’ve been dreading.

Additionally, aquamarine gemstones are used to help soothe sore throats, swollen glands, thyroid problems and eczema. Because of its calming properties, healers believe that aquamarine can regulate hormones and growth in a way that is most conducive to any kind of transition between phases. Set your own affirmations with this stone with whatever comes to mind/ feels right.

Sandalwood & Frankincense

Sandalwood and Frankincense are both non-comedogenic essential oils, meaning they don't clog your pores. They are both considered grounding and have the ability to calm and center the mind. Sandalwood is known for its smoky aroma and is a class of woods from trees in the genus Santalum. Studies show that it is anti-inflammatory, can manage anxiety, can help fight bacteria and support wound healing like acne scarring.

“Due to the rich antioxidant component, sandalwood can help prevent wrinkles by fighting free radical formation”

Frankincense is an aromatic resin obtained from trees of the genus Boswellia in the family Burseraceae. Frankincense is also known to help reduce stress/anxiety and many other health concerns but as far as skin care goes, it is a natural astringent. It can help heal skin imperfections and conditions like acne and wounds. Frankincense has been known for rejuvenating damaged skin as a healing oil. This is useful for reducing the appearance of stretch marks and scars.

Argan Oil

Most are familiar with this essential oil, especially when it comes to hair. It is also beneficial for the skin. Argan oil is known to help the skin from free radical damage caused by the sun. It is also super hydrating, thanks to the abundant amount of Vitamin E which is an antioxidant. It is known to treat acne, psoriasis and rosacea. It is anti-aging and can reduce skin's oiliness.

The Beauty Crystal Mist Process

I have charged the distilled water during sunrise with the raw aquamarine crystals in the glass jars of water for about two hours. After this I make the mists ready to order so they are as fresh as possible. I add an appropriate amount of each organic, grounding oil and then add the mix to the glass mist bottles. These blue bottles protect the mist from any sun damage and also pro-long the shelf life. They are sustainable/eco friendly. It was important for me to keep this product clean, genuine, vegan and cruelty free. The inspiration came from friends who got me into crystals and educated me. Being an esthetician, I became curious as to which crystals were beneficial for the skin. Aquamarine was one of the firsts to pop up and it stuck with me. I am still educating myself on crystals but I know they play an important role in our lives. Zodiacs and astrology aside, crystals and minerals are apart of our DNA. We are essentially made of stardust so when you take a look at the actual science and history behind it all, it is quite amazing. I hope you enjoy this product and I'm excited for what's coming next! Until then, Do It For The Glam ;)
